Teenager Nikita lost his hearing as a child, and his father, Dmitry, tries to help his son return to a normal life. However, their ideas of "normality" diverge. Dmitry wants Nikita to attend a mainstream school and restore his hearing with an implant. But the teenager refuses the operation and defends his right to a unique approach to learning and hobbies. A misunderstanding between father and son leads to conflict, which leads Nikita to run away from home.
