
Thiruveer Reddy
Thiruveer Reddy, known mononymously as Thiruveer (born Tirupathi Reddy), is an Indian actor, theatre director, and writer who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. Born on July 23, 1988, in Mamidipally, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana, to P. Venkata Reddy and Veeramma, he completed his schooling at ZPHS Mailardevpally and graduated from Government City College, Hyderabad. Deeply passionate about the performing arts, he earned a Master of Performing Arts (MPA) degree from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad. He worked as a radio jockey for AIR FM Rainbow 101.9 (as RJ Thiru) and built a formidable foundation in experimental and classical theatre, acting in acclaimed plays like *Gograhanam* and *Razakar*, while founding his theatre group 'Popcorn Theatre' to direct stage productions such as *Amma Cheppina Katha* and *Daawat*. For his immense contribution to the stage, he was honored with the J. V. Narasimha Rao Young Theatre Scholar Award in 2017. He made his feature film debut as Mallesh in *Bommalaramaram* (2016) and appeared as V. Murthy in India's first underwater submarine thriller *The Ghazi Attack* (2017), followed by *Ye Mantram Vesave* (2018), *Subhalekha+Lu* (2018), and the biographical drama *Mallesham* (2019). Thiruveer achieved a major breakthrough with his chilling portrayal of the antagonist Lalan Singh in Jeevan Reddy's student-political biopic *George Reddy* (2019), which won him the Zee Cine Award Telugu for Best Performance in a Negative Role. He cemented his reputation as one of Telugu cinema's finest character actors with his intense performance as Rangarao in Karuna Kumar's critically acclaimed period social drama *Palasa 1978* (2020), earning nominations for both the SIIMA Award and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor – Telugu. He subsequently featured in Nani's family action drama *Tuck Jagadish* (2021) as Tirumala Naidu. He transitioned into leading man status to widespread critical and box-office acclaim, headlining Sai Kiran's smash-hit supernatural horror mystery *Masooda* (2022) as the timid protagonist Gopi Krishna. He further showcased his comedic range in Rupak Ronaldson's rustic comedy entertainer *Pareshan* (2023) presented by Rana Daggubati, and starred in Rahul Srinivas's romantic drama *The Great Pre-Wedding Show* (2025). On digital streaming platforms, he delivered striking performances in Aha's web series *Sin* (2020), *Metro Kathalu* (2020), Amazon Prime Video's comedy-drama series *Kumari Srimathi* (2023) alongside Nithya Menen, and *Moksha Pattam* (2025). His feature filmography also extends to headlining *Papam Prathap* (2026), Bharat Dharshan's *Oh..! Sukumari* (2026) opposite Aishwarya Rajesh, and the period drama *Bhagavanthudu*.
